Denali Summit - Alpine Club Talk

Last spring Thom Wolfsen, Alexander Smirnoff, Todd Martin, and friend Josh Bean celebrated a successful summit of Denali in Alaska.  Despite multiple challenges, the team was able to find the strength and a window of opportunity to summit the 20,320’ peak, two weeks after first landing at 7,200’ on the Kahiltna Glacier May 21st.

Wednesday, November 7th, SCMA members Alexander Smirnoff, Todd Martin, and possibly Thom Wolfsen will give a presentation at the Caltech Alpine Club fall speaker series, Alpine Club Talks.  They will share photos and talk the about the planning, training, and climb of this team’s successful expedition.
