Sierra Alpine Rock Talk

Justin on the North Ridge of Lone Pine PeakA relatively new trad leader, Justin Barham had his sights set on the spectacular alpine rock right in our own back yard.   Fresh out of the SCMA’s safety course, Justin Barham and partners set out to climb some of the classic, moderate rock routes in the Sierra.  Climbs include classics such as the North Ridge of Lone Pine Peak, East Face of Mount Whitney, West Ridge of Mount Conness, NE Ridge of Bear Creek Spire, SE Buttress of Cathedral Peak, and more.

Wednesday, January 29, Justin will give a presentation of his 2019 climbs at the Caltech Alpine Club speaker series, Alpine Club Talk.  Come see some great photos, hear what Justin learned from logging all those alpine miles, and find out what he has planned for this summer.

Alpine Club Talks, held in the Beckman Institute Auditorium on the CalTech campus in Pasadena, are free and open to the public.  Free parking is available after 6:00 PM in the parking Structure on the west side of Wilson Ave, or on Wilson Ave.
